Great beer! Great dark color, aroma a bit weak, medium body, toasty chocolate tones with medium to light bitterness, medium to light carbonation,. Overall well balanced. Would buy again and again.

Bottle (22oz $4.50). Pretty typical porter. Fairly light bodied. Roasted malts with a little cocoa taste. Might be a regular if in 6 packs.

Looks like a porter from a tap. Unexpected light chocolate and mint flavor with an underwhelming malt support. The pallets is light. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bittersweet chocolate and roasted malts power this nearly black porter. It comes in bitter initially but the chocolate and roasted malt form up as the bitterness fades. Not super complex but a pretty solid porter.

Bomber shared by John. Dark cola pour, clear, khaki head, no lacing. Sweet, light chocolate, grainy, caramel, soft roast. Moderately sweet. Medium body, slick texture. Solid porter on the sweet side.

20 oz pour on tap at SeaTac Alaska Lodge. Anise aroma with some roast. Lightly sweet. Somewhat transparent dark mahogany colored body with a medium tan head. Starts with a mocha cocoa flavor. Nice maltiness. Light roast to finish. Pretty straightforward. Solid, but nothing spectacular.

Great chocolatey notes upon first taste. Some hints if roasted malts really shine towards the end. Not too strong. Some interesting bitterness, still pretty good tho.

On tap @ Anthony’s (SEA-TAC). Dark brown pour with some reddish highlights and khaki foam. Nose is roasty and a touch herbal. Some earthy hops, caramel, and black cherry. A bit of roasted nuts, too. Flavor has a nice sweetness of caramel, toffee, and black cherry. Decent hop character, though a weird rosemary sort of flavor to it. Slight acidic tang. Smells better than it tastes.

Bottle @ Jon’s place on the 4th. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a foamy brown head. Some mineral, dark fruit notes in the aroma with caramel and nuts. Body is a bit thin. Pecans, caramel, toffee, and chocolate in the flavor. Earthy hops. Pretty well balanced but the body is a little thin. Ok.

On tap at Anthony’s. Dark brown pour with a kaki head. Nice malty aromas. Smooth and creamy with tasty dark medium roast malt highlights. Chocolate and caramel lowlights. Tasty and in no way bitter. Actually a damn fine porter.
