This Irish Red Ale pours a reddish amber brown with a caramel malty aroma that has a hint of earthiness to it. The beerís medium bodied while the carbonation gives it a sharp mouthfeel. The taste is soft caramel, bitter cacao & earthy herbal hops in the finish. Good stuff, a well made red.

Not much aroma. Amber in color. Malt taste but falls flat with no body. OK, but donít plan on drinking again

Bottle. Pours an amber red color with no head. Nose is malty and grainy for an ale. Taste is sweet, malty and syrupy. Strong caramel, without any decent flavor or taste. Finishes just as poorly as it starts. Leave it. Quaff Score 5 / 10

Pours a red brown with a beige head and sweet malty, grainy aroma. Taste is light and not very flavorful, some sweet malt, caramel, and bread notes but wasnít a fan

Malt up front. Mild hop balance. Sips crisp and carbonated . More caramel malt flavor than I prefer in a red ale.

Earthy, roasty, woody, malty. Little head but lively carbonation tickles the lips. Laudable hop-malt balance. Slightly tangy. Bready modest pleasant aftertaste.

From my notes from recent trip to Seattle and Portland...DRAFT at the brewery / pub in Silverdale WA. Pours red with thin head. Nose is mostly brown sugar and caramel....smooth, creamy tastes of the same. Smooth in the mouth. Decent...not outstanding, but good.

Bomber. Aroma is bread, caramel, grain, dirty dishsoap. Muddy red/brown, white head that dissipates to a ring. Taste is caramel-sweet, grainy, only the slightest bit of bitterness. Light body, soft carbonation, short finish. Sticky mouth residue long after itís done, but during each sip the texture is thin. Overall: No idea how this is for the style (my first Irish ale as far as I can remember), but

Pours a beautiful deep copper (some might say red...) with a quickly dissipating, even with an aggressive pour, tan head. Strong sweet; caramel and toffee malt notes both in flavor and aroma. Smooth and quite sweet on the palate. Overall not a bad Irish red, easy drinking for a malty focus.

Bomber. Dark copper colored with an inch of tan foam. Mostly bread dough, apricot and brown sugar in the aroma. The taste is heavy on the toffee and toasted caramel malt flavors as well as some orange citrus, honey and smoked grain notes. Mouthfeel is mildly creamy with heavy carbonation and a dry, malty finish. A little one-dimensional but a decent Red Ale nonetheless.
