22oz bottle from riversideAK - thanks, Alex! Nice bright amber pour with a fluffy cream head. Aroma is fairly hoppy, more or less as youíd expect for a PNW brew, in this category or otherwise. Slightly thin mouthfeel but decent smooth, and more than drinkable. Semi-sweet malts are balanced nicely by grassy hops to give this one a liveliness often lacking in the style. Pretty decent.

Gold Metal Winner at GABF. While in Silverdale WA, I had the opportunity to try all of Silver city Brewing Companies beers. My favorite is the The Red Amber beer, which is a beer that is "drinkable" and doesnít weigh heavy on you unless you drink too much. Although not a hop-head type of a beer, this is a well balanced beer with a crispy finish. The only thing I donít like is that I wonít get any when I go back to California.

Deceptive that itís called "Red" but is an amber ale. Definitely wouldnít have ordered it. Pours a transparent amber with a smallish white head. Decent balance, but itís lacking ingredients. This tastes like something the Ram would brew Ė intended for those who donít care much for flavor, and are just looking for something quaffable. Slightly metallic Ė needs a much fuller mouthfeel to counter the carbonation. A bit fruity, but not much to it other than a balance of weak hops and caramel malts.

Pours a reddish amber with a thin white head that didnít last long for me. Has a light, sweet, toasty malt aroma. Flavor is toast and caramel malt with a light, crisp, flowery hop flavor on the finish. I found this a bit boring, but very easy drinking.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours deep amber in color with thin white head. Aroma malty, sweet and lite hops. Taste carmel malt and lite hops with bitter finish.

Bottle from Ballard Market. 21st rating of this brew. Drank while watching the Sounders game with my buddies at their place in Ballard. Light toasty aroma with some caramel malts and that was about it. Pours amber with a thin lasting foamy head. Toasty, lightly sweet caramel malt notes, and some crisp unobtrusive hops. Just kind of toned down and íregularí, but it is an amber ale, so what more can they do with it in all reality. Well made, just nothing spectacular to rave about. Gotta appreciate consistency and the fact that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the beer. Good session amber.

lots of caramel and almost sickly sweet aroma. pours a bubbly light brown hue, just a covering of a head. taste is sweet as expected, but malts come through better there and the sugars are little more nuanced.

tap, medium copper pour with medium white head, wonderfully sweet malt aroma very little hop aroma present, taste same as aroma, very caramel like with almost a hint of fruit, no hop bitter, mild hop flavor in end, palate very crisp with light lingering sweet malt, taken aback by how much I enjoyed this one.

Malt dominated beer that is still extremely drinkable. Aroma smells like condensed milk with caramelized apples! Color is an amazing dark brown/red. Taste is a malty caramel with a great hope balanced background.
