COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Without a doubt the boldest, hoppiest, biggest mother of a brew we have ever created. More than 50 lbs. of Washington State Cascade and Columbus hops are infused, injected, or otherwise inflicted upon a single batch. Welcome to hop country!

Clear orange with a white head. Candied citrus fruit, grapefruit, sweet malts. Medium bodied. Like many if Silver Cuty’s brews, this is not complex, just straight forward and solid.

Draft - Sweet grapefruit and caramel. Clear dark gold with a decent white head. Lots of resin with a nice balanced bitterness and caramel. Not bad.

Pours golden with an amber hue. It has a brilliant sweet citrus hop aroma. That same characteristic from the hops comes through strongly in the flavor. Surprisingly light for a beer at 8.5.

Rated on 3-19-2013. This bottled beer pours a medium sized fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes. The aroma is citrus, pine hops, grapefruit, and caramel malt. The flavor is citrus hops, moderately bitter, caramel malt, and has a semi-dry finish. This beer’s mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. This is a sipping beer. It is a hop head beer and too hoppy tasting for my palate.

Bomber courtesy of Brooke (thanks!). Rust orange pour with a dirty white head. Aroma of herbal, grass, pine, little bread. Tastes are sweet caramel, grapefruit, lemon. Thick oily palate. Pine bitter in the dry finish. This had been sitting for a while, so may be different than fresh. Well put together though.

Poured from bottle to glass. Copper hue with off white head that dissipated to a ring. Huge aroma of malt, honey, tangelo, Lilikoi, melon, grapefruit, papaya. Mouthfeel is great with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is malt sweetness throughout with a wonderful hop bitterness in the finish and finishing clean. Overall this is a great brew!

Expected big hops nose and caramel color. Flavor has the usual resin, citrus, and malt sweetness of a DIPA. Seems like they tried to balance the 50 lbs of hops with a lot of malt which throws off the flavor a bit. Solid but I’d like to see a bit of change-up in the hops to see if Silver City can balance the DIPA a bit more.

Bottle (22oz). This is a very drinkable double IPA. Hippy but not overly so. First sip had some flavor that surprised me but I did not get it again so could not identify. Would get again.

Bottle from Jamestown S’Klallam Longhouse Market & Deli, Sequim
Light amber color, bright, with small creamy head. Aroma of biscuity malt and manure hops, tomato sauce, iron. Lean moutfeel, a bit oily; the malt flavor is a bit sweet and oily, with a light biscuity touch, followed by strong bitterness; the hopping is quite resiny.
Good but not exciting.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear reddish amber color with a moderate frothy off-white head. Nose is quite hoppy, with some subtle grass and strong citrusy grapefruit notes. Taste is moderately bitter, yet stays fairly light. There is also just a hint of some sweetness to it.
