COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Without a doubt the boldest, hoppiest, biggest mother of a brew we have ever created. More than 50 lbs. of Washington State Cascade and Columbus hops are infused, injected, or otherwise inflicted upon a single batch. Welcome to hop country!

On tap at the brewery. I could smell this one coming. A very beautiful pour - just the right hint of gold to let you know that this is more than just hop tea. A hint of malt that hangs on through a sea of hoppiness. Good to the last drop. Could stand for a bit more body, but Iím not complaining.

Expected big hops nose and caramel color. Flavor has the usual resin, citrus, and malt sweetness of a DIPA. Seems like they tried to balance the 50 lbs of hops with a lot of malt which throws off the flavor a bit. Solid but Iíd like to see a bit of change-up in the hops to see if Silver City can balance the DIPA a bit more.

Bottle (22oz). This is a very drinkable double IPA. Hippy but not overly so. First sip had some flavor that surprised me but I did not get it again so could not identify. Would get again.

Bottle from Jamestown SíKlallam Longhouse Market & Deli, Sequim
Light amber color, bright, with small creamy head. Aroma of biscuity malt and manure hops, tomato sauce, iron. Lean moutfeel, a bit oily; the malt flavor is a bit sweet and oily, with a light biscuity touch, followed by strong bitterness; the hopping is quite resiny.
Good but not exciting.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear reddish amber color with a moderate frothy off-white head. Nose is quite hoppy, with some subtle grass and strong citrusy grapefruit notes. Taste is moderately bitter, yet stays fairly light. There is also just a hint of some sweetness to it.

Pours a brilliantly clear deep gold with a sticky, tall, white head. Earthy hop aroma. The flavor is smoothly bitter from start to finish. Medium body without being sticky sweet at all. Iíd like just a bit more hop flavor to improve on this one.

Rich copper coloured body with a light amber glow, some orange coming through and a very nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of tons of fresh grapefruity and resinous hops, a lot of sugars, some apricots and a pungent malt note - very nice smelling - mouthwatering, even. Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with sticky resinous notes, some good caramel malt flavours and a pleasant sweetness while showing some good aftertaste. Aftertaste is pleasant and well rounded with malt equally as strong as the resinous and slightly piney hops coupled with an apricot sweetness, some light honey and a touch of bitterness at the end. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA with some good flavours, a moderate complexity and a subtle sweetness at the end. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$6.99 sampled at home in Washington two days before leaving for Portland, again on 04-December-2013.

Tap at Garage 39. Cloudy, deep amber-orange color with lace. Big, fruity nose, tropical, grass, rich hops. bitter hoppy flavor, very fruity, with orange, peach, mango, grass, peppery finish. Full body. Good beer.

Breaking all the rules with this review: at the toronto beer fest a dozen drinks in. This is a great brew that cuts through the weaker pours earlier in the afternoon. Has fantastic slivers of hops that makes the flavour shimmer. Great sessionable fun.

Very good although more of a regular IPA than double. Poured at a good temperature with a medium size, cream color, foamy, thick head that settled after a bit and a bit of lace. Color is a clear amber with plenty of bubble trails. Aroma is a nice blend of hop, caramel malt, citrus and a little resin. Flavorís like nose with all of the characteristics enhanced and bolder. Very good balance between tang, bitter, and sweet. Body/carbonation are just right. Finish is like flavor except the resin gets stronger and turns a little bad. Still, I really like this beer and wish I could get more.
