A complex dark Belgian Dubbel, using the darkest of malts, and hopped lightly to bring the ginger and pink peppercorn spices to the forefront. Belgian yeast brings clove and bubblegum flavors.

Draft at Tap Root Beer and Mead Social: Poured a dark brown with a bubbly off white to beige head. Aroma is strong dark fruits, malts, and spice. Taste is very malty and toffee with raisin/plum dark fruit, livened up with some spice. A nice example of a Abbey Dubbel.

Draft at Cafe Amsterdam. Deep dark amber with a small head. Aroma is heavy spice, zesty yeast, burnt sugar and bread. Flavor of earthy belgian yeast, dark caramel and toffee and some zesty spices. Medium body with active carbonation and a dry mouth feel. About as spicy as I like a beer, lots of yeast and caramel flavors. Nice.
