iamsancho16 (99), USA Nov 17, 2006 The Silver Gulch Brewing Company is located in Fairbanks, Alaska and produces some very good beers that rival those of the Midnight Sun Brewing Company and the Alaskan Brewing Company. This one is no exception. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 21, 2005 (Draft: Silver Gulch Brewing Co. in Fox, Alaska) With their typical self-deprecating humor, the folks serving the beer at their weekly Friday Open House call this their lawnmower beer, but it’s quite flavorful, showing a light malt base with a deliciously fresh and moderately bitter hoppiness that tends to take center stage. The lighlty hoppy nose is only mildly aromatic. Some pale malt and grain are in the nose as well. Light in body, but clean and crisp on the palate. Medium golden body is toppedy by a tall, attractive off-white head that incredibly leaves a blanket of lace on my frigging plastic cup!! Try that with your favorite lawnmower beer. aracauna (2250), Georgia, USA Jun 25, 2005 Clear gold with a good white head. Citrus, slightly floral. Light wheat body with a bit of bitterness in the back. Perhaps a little too bitter to be balanced, but not bad.
