3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, toasted malt and caramel. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz.bottle from Roth’s Vista Market in S.Salem.
This is now just Hopnob IPA and is 6.0% alc.
typical clear orange IPA coloured ale large impressive frothy white head..stays for ever.
Not the most aromatic IPA..what there is is citric and resin with a bit of caramel thrown in.
Taste is the same mainlly citric( i am emeinded of Seville orange) hops and a nice caramel malt backing..very simple.
Nice enough mouthfeel just about right for style though could have used more carbonation.
Pretty average beer which is a dissapointment as i have always liked Silver Moon when i visit Bend..it has more of a local feel about it and the beers fresh are great..in bottles i am not so sure.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. Good citrusy, grapefruit aroma with a touch of manure. Gold/straw color, big creamy head, lots of carb. Solid balanced initial; hops rise into the nose in mid palate; juicy, lemony finish. Medium-thick body. Very creamy, like a light beer pudding or a hoppy meringue. Very good stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy copper coloured body with a lighter amber and bronzish glow with a thick, five centimetre tall tan head - nice, actually! Aroma of fresh grapefruity and piney hops with a bit of resin and some nice sugars and malt finishing up the nose - mouth watering and very cascadey and PNWy hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hops up front that fade a bit soon afterwards, but reassert themselves at the tail end with some resiny notes, all in the middle with a good malt backbone, a hint of sugars and a little grassy and herbal complexity. Aftertaste is nice and bittering from the hops and not in a horribly pungent way, but the flavours abound are very nice and show greatly. I love the choice and nature of these beers and how readily available they are in PNW - this is another fine example of a beer that I wish I could get all the time here at home, but it’s a few hours away by plane to grab a bunch then return. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 28-February-2012 for US$4.15 sampled at home in Washington (the real Washington - not the next-door neighbour of Oregon) on 15-July-2012.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Really great. The aroma is citrussy nw hop scents. Great residual on palate, not too much but the taste is there and hops right on point. Malt backs up the hop, good blend. Overall really nice ipa
