Oct 23, 2009 Light raw green fresh hop aroma balanced with a little pine. Solid malt backbone and a lingering bitterness. Does as good of a job of capturing the fresh hop in the taste as any bottled fresh hop I’ve had.

Oct 22, 2009 First off I would like to to say I liked this beer alot! Fresh hops... yes! You can really smell the hops as you pour it into your glass. Pours a true orange-amber with great lacing on the glass. A little grassy after taste... but it’s a wet hop beer. My only complaint is - Only using Cascade hops! The Silver Moon Brewing Co. has a Great grain bill base on this brew... if they added some simcoe hops late in the boil, I think it would be an Amazing Brew!!!!!!! Hey Silver Moon are you listening? Lets get’er dun!

Oct 10, 2009 Nice bottled example of an Oregon fresh hop, basic glod/amber pale appearance with grassy, slightly heathery aroma, a little wet stone...nice pin prick carbonation with earthy, slightly meaty (but reigned in) hop flavor. Definite fresh hop flavor, probably alot of them in this one, a bit of that vegetal bleed that you get from the fresh but it just adds a nice edge rather than detracting. Better than other bottled fresh hops I’ve tried...

Oct 8, 2009 Updated: Nov 5, 200922 oz bottle from Market of Choice. 2009 Fresh Hop ale from Silver Moon, fantastic name and label. Poured a light orange-amber with a big frothy white head and a bunch of sticky lacing. Aroma is hefty on the fresh hops, mostly big grapefruit citrus with a mild caramel malt backing. Flavor is big citrus with mild caramel malt and a slight pine kick. Much much better than the only other Silver Moon beer I’ve had to date. Would drink this one again especially since it was very reasonably priced.
