Solid malt backbone and a lingering bitterness. Does as good of a job of capturing the fresh hop in the taste as any bottled fresh hop I’ve had. Fresh hops... yes! You can really smell the hops as you pour it into your glass. Pours a true orange-amber with great lacing on the glass. A little grassy after taste... but it’s a wet hop beer. My only complaint is - Only using Cascade hops! The Silver Moon Brewing Co. has a Great grain bill base on this brew... if they added some simcoe hops late in the boil, I think it would be an Amazing Brew!!!!!!! Hey Silver Moon are you listening? Lets get’er dun! Perkeo (318), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2009 Nice bottled example of an Oregon fresh hop, basic glod/amber pale appearance with grassy, slightly heathery aroma, a little wet stone...nice pin prick carbonation with earthy, slightly meaty (but reigned in) hop flavor. Definite fresh hop flavor, probably alot of them in this one, a bit of that vegetal bleed that you get from the fresh but it just adds a nice edge rather than detracting. Better than other bottled fresh hops I’ve tried... Beardface (995), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Poured a light orange-amber with a big frothy white head and a bunch of sticky lacing. Aroma is hefty on the fresh hops, mostly big grapefruit citrus with a mild caramel malt backing. Flavor is big citrus with mild caramel malt and a slight pine kick. Much much better than the only other Silver Moon beer I’ve had to date. Would drink this one again especially since it was very reasonably priced.
