650ml bottle poured almost black in color with a big beige head and some thin lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate with a hint of coffee. Taste is roasted malty sweetness and chocolate and coffee with a mild hop bitterness. A nice porter that is worth a try.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (1732) - Georgia, USA - AUG 2, 2011
Comes out of the bottle a barely translucent warm sable brown with a substantial, if not too persistent, fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is smoky and has components of brown sugar and quality coffee. Lip-smacking flavor has tones of quality coffee, molasses, caramel and semi-sweet chocolate plus a hint of licorice. Texture is smooth, a little thick, and just a little fizzy. Definitely worthy, especially if you favor porters.

Bomber. Black body. Frothy, tan head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, watery texture and average carbonation. The beer is all about the roasted malts. Tastes of coffee, bitter chocolate and tobacco. Long, dry, bitter aftertaste. Body is a bit watery, but considering the low alcohol and low sweetness, not surprising. Enjoyable.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (7120) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 16, 2010
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours black with a large foamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Med body. Flavor is slightly sweet, definitely has some coffee type bitter. I’d say the IBU understates. Not getting a lot of chocolate. In a way it’s a low impact taste. But there’s a lot of coffee and burnt malt. Goes down really easily. Try it. You won’t regret it.
