BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Silver Moon Brewing, Bend Black color with lots of lacing and nice creamy head. Nose of light fruit and roast. Smoky mocha flavor with lots of astringency, which doesn’t fit too much into porters. Finishes sharp and tangy.

Huge, gorgeous coffee nose. Thin, watery body. Way too light. Tastes good--lots of coffee with a little sweet in there. But just too watery.

Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. A little dry roast in the finish, but this one was almost watery. Really thin. Nice aromas and flavors though. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 On tap at Bailey’s in Portland, which is a pretty cool place. Black to dark brown in color. Aroma was roasted, a bit meaty and oaty. Flavor was very thin and watery. Roasted malt with some chocolate and something akin to tobacco. Just ok. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Jan 17, 2008 Dark reddish brown, light tan head.
