Commercial Description:
An English style dry porter, the Snake Bite is dark, crisp, smokey and delicious. Die hard porter fans come back for this one. Self proclaimed "non-beer-drinkers" have been woed to the craft side of beer by it too. By popular demand we serve this beer year round. IBU 11.2

Bottle back at Tumalo campground. Late eveniing..sky mauve..quater moon . Dark brown ale, light brown thick creamy head. Malty roasted aromas, dark chocolate. Rather milky taste, slightly toasted oat. Lite coffee , dark chocolate:only 65% cacoa. Tastes like a true English porter. Good smooth yet thin ( in style) mouthfeel. Very nice drinkable and lowish alkie.

22oz bomber from the brewery... Poured black with a dense, brown head. Aroma contained smoked malt and mocha characteristics. Soft palate that’s very full, with flavors of roasted malt, hazelnuts, chocolate and a toffee finish.

Bottle shared by bvc. Smells pretty roasty with light mocha sweetness. Really a lot of coffee actually. Pours black with a thin tan head. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. A little dry roast in the finish, but this one was almost watery. Really thin. Nice aromas and flavors though.

This poured from the 22 oz bottle a very dark brown tending toward black with a robust foamy tan head and good lacing rings as it very slowly settled. Good head retention. Nose was of roasted malts and floral hops with some coffee notes. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is uncomplicated with chocolate, coffee, and a hint of fruit. Finish is dry. A very easy drinking porter.

Pours black with a one finger tan head and good amount of lacings. Aroma is dark floral hops. Taste is mild cocoa with a hint of coffee. Malts are dark roasted variety. Mouthfeel is good with an adequete amount of carbonation. Very sessionable Porter with an abv of 4.5%. One of the better beers from Silver Moon Brewing.

22 oz bomber from Market of Choice. I feel like this would be a much better brew if they could get rid of that metallic astringent taste that hits you right off the bat. The beer pours a nice dark brown with a pillowy tan head, and has the typical nice porter smell of chocolate and coffee. Flavor improves a bit after it’s sat down for a few minutes. Okay for my first outing from the brewery.
