Strong, malty aroma has spicy and smoky notes. Flavor has a malty core and notes of molasses, chocolate, cloves and burnt hops. Firm body has good fizz. A winner!

Draft @ Silver Peak. Pours a murky, pulpy brown color; creamy yellowed head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Solid estery presence in the nose: bananas, cloves, brown sugar; slightly muddled, but generous and quite pleasant. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lively carbonation; a nice jolt of cola, brown sugar, and creme brulee; some pleasant touches of pepper and, honestly, a strong Dr. Pepper note; not a great dunkelweizen, but reasonable and tasty. Lengthy finsh of brown sugar, cloves, and a hint of roasted meat, surprisingly, at the far end.

Draft at brewery. Pours deep brown with an off white head. Aroma of banana bread and bubble gum esters. Flavor of dark wheat, banana, and bubble gum with moderate attenuation. Phenolic on the finish, with some yeasty and dust notes

on tap-pours a light tan head and hazy brown/orange color. Aroma is banana, wheat/light malt, some clove. Taste is sweet banana, wheat/medium malt, some clove, zero hops. Soft/minimum carbonation.

On tap at Silver Peak Reno, pours out a amber topped with a san head. Aroma of pit fruit and some malt. Tast more of the fruit, some sweetness along with a nice malt mix.

haha first rating. Poured a red/brown with off-white head. Flavors of fruit, roasted malt and some spice. Easy to drink and a little thin. Decent beer.
