The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is very zippy, but the foam bulbs become bigger and bigger. Aroma hoppy and dry. Tastes hoppy, but not really dry. The finish is almost vapid. Disappointing!

Aug 13, 2008 330 ml bottle. yellow colour. big white fading head. taste is hoppy. why is it a jewish koscher beer ?? from Germany ..... ??

Jul 2, 2008 Updated: Jul 3, 2008I remember visiting Brauerei Hartmannsdorf, close to Chemnitz, in 1991, just after die Wende. The brewer showed me the brewery, that was very old, rusted and badly needing maintenance. The beers were alright, though. To my utter surprise, the brewery has survived the economic crisis in the former DDR, has been renewed and now brews this type of beer. Ahem. Grainy aroma with apple. Thin grainy apple flavor. Medecinal aftertaste. Just barely drinkable. The former DDR wasn’t all bad.....
