33 cl bottle. Aroma: cherries, cloves, cinnamon. Appearance: reddish amber, clear beer with off white head that doesn’t last. Taste: sweet, raisins. Palate: light bodied, sweet aftertaste. Overall: nice at christmas, but wouldn’t be my choice otherwise.

Beer #1000. 330ml bottle. Cooper color with very little head. Caramel and dried fruit aroma. The taste is pretty similar. A pretty good take for a Christmas seasonal.

A black currant fist is the first thing that hits your nose but it’s fastly dissapearing again. The malty nose takes the lead and guides you throughout the rest of your tasting. Its nice marroon colour accompanied by a medium white head will also be your compagnons until the glass will be empty. The flavor of this untypical Luxembourgish christmas beer (all the others are dark (strong) lagers) is definitely inspired by Belgian Dubbels and offers a very nice harmony between it’s burned caramel sweetness and a subtle dry and herbal hop bitterness. Finish is nicely alcohol aromatic and lingers. A warming beer for the cold season.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Geschmack röstmalzig, ordentlich gehopft, Karamell, reifes Obst, leicht alkoholisch.

Schöne dunkelbraun-rötliche Farbe in Glas, süßlich-milder Geruch.

(Bottle, 7 July 2014) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel, raisins, crisp-bread and toasty malt. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, crisp-bread, raisins, dried fruit and a spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a balanced sweetness. Well made, tasty and spicy. Quite nice.
