Golden blond coloured beer with a lot of carbonation and a small white head. Light sweet hoppy aroma with some light malty touches. Very little aroma actually. Medium palate. Finish is light bitter hoppy with some light herby touches. Not bad.

Bottle from quinns. A thin and tasteless beer, like seriously i did not get any flavour apart from slightly brady sweetness and i could have been imagining that.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Quinns. Very pale yellow colour and if it wasn’t for the slight white head it would certainly be a 1. So watery looking. Aroma of cardboard and some acrid burnt malt. Flavour of metal, corn, cereal and more card. Nice bit of balance in the finish brings it back from the brink however. Just. Palate is a little thin yet watery. Not great.

Bottle @ Quinns courtesy of Sim. Well, Mes and I sort of bullied her into buying it but if there was a beer that closely resembled my name I’d give it a go for the pure novelty. Pale gold with a pillowy white head. Nose of bitter hops, wheat and yeast, stagnant water comes to mind. Taste is of hops, malt, wheat and yeast with a subtle bitterness in the finish. Slightly watery on the palate but still better than expected.

Bottled, 330ml, pasteurised, from La Cave de L’Estam, Verdun, France. Pale yellow gold, highly carbonated head. Light, sweet simple Pils, in fact a ’Simple Simon!’, I just had to do that. Sweetish throughout with a corn, grainy flavour with the slightest hint of, perhaps, Saar hop. Its ok, but nothing special.

MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2007
(33cl bottle, from Saarlander) Clear, pale golden with a medium-sized foamy white head. Light-sweet, grainy nose with grassy, slightly herbal hops. Balanced sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium body, crispy carbonation. Grainy, malty taste, light herbal notes getting stronger towards the finish; slightly unpleasant, tart aftertaste.
