Test vom 28.2.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,12,10,12,11 - 11,00

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Luxembourg. Moderate carbonation. Slightly sweet lager. That Simon crispness again. Very easy drinking - like this brewer!

Papsoe (25090) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden pils-type with almost non-existing head. Malty with a dry but not overwhelming bitterness. The label says "biere spéciale de haute densité". A guess it’s just a sophisticated (try saying it loud....) way of saying that the brewmaster has used a bit extra pilsener-malt. 310701

Feinherber Ausklang. Ein angenehmes Bier, gut zu trinken. Dankeschön an Grima!Test vom 5.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle at the Independent Café in Luxemburg. It had a sweet malty smell with some corn. Similar taste, however I expected something allot harder carbonated, this was smooth and fairly easy to drink with a fruity taste. Almost tastes like a top fermented beer.

Bottle: dark golden color. Aroma is very malty and hay. Taste has hay, malt and some honey. Very sweet with a little bit too much bitterness in the end.

Fluffy, very lightly yellow-tinted head, over dark golden beer with a hidden copperish shine. Fleetingly vanilla, then a lot of toast. Bit of parsley aroma, too. A fleeting idea of leafy bitterness, but immediately quelched by a dull, grainy taste, dusty even. Taste as if from oxydized malt, somehow, strange. Sweet stretching to toasted and... old? (BBD is only 10/01/07...) A bit slick-sweetness, grist, but mainly light bodied. It’s not bad, but there’s so much better a border further away.

Clear yellow coloured beer, small white head, lots of carbonation. Hoppy little butterish aroma. Full little bitter palate. Finish is little sweet and bitter, nicely balanced.
