Rousse assez foncée avec des reflets rouges. Nez de caramel et de sucre d’orge mélangés à un houblon présent. En bouche, le caramel écossais, le houblon, des notes d’érable explosent. Très intéressant. Des notes de scotch arrivent en finale. Houblon également. Amertume et épices subtiles qui s’ajoutent au portrait. Bière bien balancée. J’ai beaucoup aimé. Cheers!

Bottle pours clear amber with off-white head. Aroma is of hops and malt. Taste is malty, some caramel and spices. Quite a pleasant ale.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2012 Acheté au Bièrologue. Elle est très foncé avec une faible mousse. Au nez, on sent les arôme de malt avec une impression de caramel. En bouche, elle malté et la note se poursuit vers l’arrière goût avec une légère amertume. Je n’ai pas aimé, le malt est trop agressif en bouche.

Bouteille de 341ml, robe cuivrée, arôme de noix et de céréales rôties, goût qui rappelle les arômes.

Aroma: Butter caramel nose with a touch of scotch or bourbon? Wood and smoke notes are also showing up. Pretty complex nose, sticking out a lot.
Appearance: Copper brown, extremely clear. Big bubble head, average lasting, no lacing.
Taste: Attack is woody and caramel with notes of scotch very present. Hops are also doing a good job. Caramel is very long lasting. Finish is dry and hoppy. Contrairement à mes confrères évaluateurs, j’ai beaucoup aimé cette altbier. Je l’ai trouvée très complexe et savoureuse. Question de préférence personnelle.

Bitter enough, you can taste malt and a bit of sweetness in this beer. A strong beer that does not overtake your mouth. To bee served cooler than the ambiant temperature but not too cold !

Bottle from Kybecca. Pours brown with half an inch of khaki foam. Notes of bready sweetness on the nose. Tastes a bit like prunes on the tongue. I didn’t like this one at all.

Bière comportant une belle amertume. Arôme de caramel et de malt. Goût de caramel intéressant. Une très bonne bière.

Bottle 341 ml. Pours dark red/light brown with a little non lasting head. Aroma: roasted malt, caramel. Taste is the same with also some hop and residual sugar. Taste is sweet, well balanced, with slight bitterness. Little not so pleasant aftertaste. Some warming alcohol. Medium bodied.

Bottle, pours a nice dark brown and a good solid body, the aroma is nice and the beer has a nice light finish.
