Bottle. Cloudy orange amber with a golden creamy head. Aroma is quite malty, toasty, with some citrus and pine undertones. Palate is much the same in that it is more malt driven, sweet caramel dominates the flavours, but there is a nice infusion of citrus oil and pine resin to balance it out. More sticky than juicy, with a moderately bitter finish. I’ve said before that I like malty IPAs, so this was a win for me, but I can see how this wouldn’t ring every hophead’s bell.

341ml.bottle from Dépanneur Peluso. The color is a hazy amber with a thin beige head. The aroma is of hops, citrus fruits. The taste also of hops and citrus fruits added to that you have the sweetness of caramel candy. The finish is the good bitter taste of an I.P.A.

Pours copper with a lasting tan head. Smells of earth, some sage, spicy. Tastes of sweet citrus, honey, caramel, some spicy elements. Finishes sweet.

Thanks to Cole for bringing this back for me from Quebec! Pours hazy orange with a large off white head. The aroma is citric, piney and sweet. The flavor has caramel showing through quite a bit with hints of spruce, spice, and citrus. may have let this one sit in the fridge too long. But nice none the less.

Bottle 341ml. @ home.

Clear medium to dark red orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, orange, peel bitter. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, warm peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20100516]

One of my favourite American IPA’s from Canada. Packs a very good hop bite, with plenty of citrus notes and a solid aromatic bitterness. Some pine and breadiness in the finish, with some lingering bitter grapefruit notes. Pretty sweet but balanced. Medium-bodied and crisp. Somewhat sticky, with plenty of aromatic hop oils. A solid example of its style. Also very close to the American-brewed IPA beers.

Wow. Did not expect the pour I got when I cracked this bottle. Thanks stowehop for this one on trade. Pour is strong ruby copper with off white head to tiny lace. Nose is big fuzzy hops and alcohol. Like honey and malt. Taste is huge with caramel and vanilla hinted hops. Hints of pine tree and soda pop. Gooey sticky gross, in a nice way, in the back of the throat. Luh-Vit!

Pours hazy amber with a very thick head. Very bold hoppy aroma rich and complex. Flavour is crisp and hoppy with a slight malty aftertaste. This is above ipa. But not as bitter as I was expecting. Great aftertaste very drinkable. I likeit.

Bright copper with a medium, slightly irregular, off-white head. Dusty hops, followed by cakey malts, lunaria, caramel. Nose starts discreet, but gradually intensifies. Straight bitterness, hoppy à souhait with a chalky background. More caramel and cake, gradually acquiring a honey-like, floral flavour, with bitterness much less obvious. Quite slick, to creamy texture; medium bodied. Much less hopbitterness in the end, than a comparable Westcoast IPA would feature. OTOH, it doesn’t belie its name, and offers balance instead. Txs to Glouglouburp!
