Thanks Lubiere. Not a bad bitter, but overated nevertheless. Overcarbonated is an obstacle to drinkability, there is cascade orange taste there, hop aroma.

Aroma is at once citrusy and bready - like scones made with orange zest. Lightly astringent citrus zest hop character translates nicely to the flavor as well. Fairly rich, thick mouthfeel. Nice.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2010 Meilleur que la simple IPA, un peu plus goûteuse...seulement 1 IBU de différence!

Real nice! Pours dark gold orange with fine white top. Lemony and citrus aromas plus sweetness. Taste flowery hop and fruit and citrus. A bit dimensional, with fruit of maybe muscat grape. Some pine. Starts a bit lush floral-fruity and ends a bit more herbal-grassy showing a little heat from the alcohol. Solid full feel.

Clear copper pour, smallish bubbly white head. Aroma holds a good amount of toffee malt, earth, citrus, caramel, molasses, flaked malt, and candied sugars-- pretty balanced, but it seems that malt presence might actually be due to this not being its freshest. On first taste, the age of this beer is clear-- not new at all. Decent amount of oxidation, with caramel spoiling what would seem to be an interesting citric and earthy character, along with even a touch of herbal hop. Still decent, but would be nice to try this within a few weeks of production-- I’m sure it would be a very different experience. -Rerate-- looking at other ratings, it seems this is just a malt driven IPA. Probably not oxidation, but nevertheless not quite what I was looking for. Still OK though.

Bottle. Cloudy orange amber with a golden creamy head. Aroma is quite malty, toasty, with some citrus and pine undertones. Palate is much the same in that it is more malt driven, sweet caramel dominates the flavours, but there is a nice infusion of citrus oil and pine resin to balance it out. More sticky than juicy, with a moderately bitter finish. I’ve said before that I like malty IPAs, so this was a win for me, but I can see how this wouldn’t ring every hophead’s bell.

341ml.bottle from Dépanneur Peluso. The color is a hazy amber with a thin beige head. The aroma is of hops, citrus fruits. The taste also of hops and citrus fruits added to that you have the sweetness of caramel candy. The finish is the good bitter taste of an I.P.A.

Pours copper with a lasting tan head. Smells of earth, some sage, spicy. Tastes of sweet citrus, honey, caramel, some spicy elements. Finishes sweet.

Thanks to Cole for bringing this back for me from Quebec! Pours hazy orange with a large off white head. The aroma is citric, piney and sweet. The flavor has caramel showing through quite a bit with hints of spruce, spice, and citrus. may have let this one sit in the fridge too long. But nice none the less.

Bottle 341ml. @ home.

Clear medium to dark red orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, orange, peel bitter. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, warm peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20100516]
