Superbe bière acajou sous un mousseux col beige laissant une élégante dentelle au verre. Des arômes signature de résine et de conifères intenses. Bière agréablement amère. Généreuse, onctueuse, effervescence moyenne avec une belle fin amère.

Hazy orange glowing copper body with a dense, thick light tan head. Aroma of very nice and pungent hops, light in body with a touch of a citrus note and a little alcohol and even smaller amount of citrus - not as strong as most American IPAs in the nose, for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive biting hops up front with not much backbone and not a lot of complexity - the hops hit hard, but after the initial front, the balance is off. Aftertaste shows a touch of hop bitterness, but the pungent flavours don’t last much at all. Overall, a decent beer - good on the hops up front, but the aftertaste, complexity and balance simply aren’t there. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Marche de Saveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 04-December-2010 for CA$2.25 sampled at home in Washington as my last beer before my next marathon on 24-March-2011.

Bottle from a Montreal beer store. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A sweet citrus and biscuit nose. A smooth fruity hop flavor, not bitter, toasted malts, caramel. Enjoyable.

341ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with no head or lacing to speak off. Very light floral and hops aroma. Not offensive or pleasing on the palate, thin bodied with nice carbonation, not much in terms of complexity but better then the macros.

Sampled side by side with the golding pale ale. I love the teaching benefits of these types of beers, but on their own, there’s nothing too special. Sweet citrusy light piney. Semi bitter finish. A little thin on the palate. Definitely tastier than the golding though.

341ml bottle. Amber body with a small beige head. You really feel the cascade hop in this one, and all the agrumes flavors misex with it. Sweet malt but with a decent bitterness. Fizzy and alcohol is noticeable. An enjoyable experience.

341ml bottle. highly carbonated brew with a super clean coppery colour to it. I found it had a real soapy character. very floral, some carbonation on the nose as well. there is a funky note. I think this bottle is off. hoppy greenish notes on the palate leaves alot to be desired. i think it is over carbonated which amplifies the leafy hoppy notes but does nothing for the malted aspect of this brew. it feels disjointed.

341ml bottle. Clearish copper pour with a frothy eggshell head that leaves a solid lace. The nose is dominated by a barnyard feel with some good floral hop notes underneath and a soapy quality. Odd. Fairly tame in the mouth with a high carbonation. The finish is lingering hop bitterness. A bit of a disappointment. Possibly an off bottle.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2011 Nice resin nose, a bit floral. Some sugars and vanilla come out also. No yeast on the nose. Opaque red with little carbonation. Thick white head that rapidly dissipate, but lingers on top. Nice bitterness, not to pronounced. Nice maltiness to balance the hops. Nice mouthfeel, thick and creamy. Average fizz. Finish is medium, but the hops cling to your tongue; nice! Nice beer, the best IPA/Pale Ale Simple malt has to offer!

Bottle, thanks rciesla for sharing. Brown pour with tan head. Hints of citrus and light fruit, some reminisce of citrus and tart fruit, oxidation and paper like malt tones.
