Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral hops with deep rich caramel malt is quite pleasing. Taste is also more oriented towards caramel malt and floral hops then most other IPA out there. Body is about average with good carbonation. This one is a lot more geared toward floral notes then an actual hops bomb I usually taste – well done and definitively something I could drink a couple in a sitting.

Sampled from Draft. Poured a deep orange/amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was a touch of fruit, with copious notes of earthy malts. Flavor was earthy malts, bitterness, hops. Well balanced with the malts - pretty enjoyable, very simple.

"Simple Malt" is the perfect name for this beer. A: Dark amber body. One finger head which quickly crashed. Not much in the way of lacing. S: Very little hop presence. Nearly all light caramel malts and bread. T: While there is some bitterness from the hops in the flavoring, there real isn’t much "character" in the way of flavor. Mildly earth and bready. More caramel malt highlights. M: Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Somewhat dull finish that doesn’t have much hop zip. O: I probably won’t revisit this one. It just doesn’t do it for me, and there are plenty of more deserving IPAs out there.

Dark color. Heavy caramel taste at first that is cut with bitterness and fruity aroma from the english hops. Finishes with malt sweentess with a bit metallic taste.

341 ml bottle. Pours an amber reddish brown. Very thin beige head. Tastes of caramel, somewhat woddy, copper and light notes of fruit. Very good bitterness, leaves a lingering hoppy taste. Quite thick bodied, I was surprised. Alcohol is perceptible, but far from aggressive. Carbonation is somewhat strong, but in this case it felt just right. In my opinion, an excellent, well-balanced IPA.

Toffee, caramel and butterscotch with floral and lightly spicy hops in the somewhat grainy aroma. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a generous off-white head that laces well. Toffee, caramel and butterscotch blend well in the flavour. Moderate bitterness, doesn’t seem to reflect the stated IBU? Floral and spicy and some grainy notes linger in the aftertaste. Medium body with a very nice silky smooth texture offset by pleasant, lightly prickly carbonation. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle.

Satisfaisant.
