On tap at Brewskey, Montreal. As La Saison. It pours an almost clear, pale golden body under an off-white head. The aroma is on the tropical fruit side, some pale malts kicking in, but nothing sweetish. A touch of peppery yeastyness too. It’s dry, medium bodied and with a nice bitterness, rather fruity and with some peppery yeast notes. Lasting finish. Not the most exciting saison I’ve had, but it’s nice and refreshing, and it feels very fresh in a nice way. 150611

Clean. Yellow with fair head. Strong yeast characteristic with lemon and pepper. Sounds like i should have one with fish.

PINT tasting. Bottle had spilled during flight to Europe, possibly explaining the small foam. Opaque light orange, sour apple in aroma. Barley in taste, light sour, crisp. Little sparkling still. (Arnhem 201506)

Draught @ Pub BreWskey, Montréal, QC
Pours slightly hazy with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, pepper and some fruitiness. Taste is light to medium sweet and meidum bitter with a long dry, yeasty, peppery and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle at Paul’s for Andy and Max’s Fantasy Football winnings tasting. Pours a faintly hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Musk on the nose, citrus and warm yeast. Medium bodied, warm musk, spicy yeast. Lingering yeast into the finish.

Bottle at the FF tasting. Poured a thinner body with lots of floating sediment and a fizzy bright white head. Aroma is funky, lemons, pepper, spicy, rustic grains. Body is medium with tight fizzy carbonation and an average duration on the arftertaste. Flavor of white pepper, flower petals, lemons, grains and yeast. Nice stuff.

Location: Bottle shared at Max and Andy’s Tasting, 2/28/15

Aroma: This one has an aroma of yeast/spice, with floral and fruity notes
Appearance: This one pours a golden color with a lasting white head
Flavor: The flavor is pretty similar to the nose, with spice/yeast, and a little sweetness
Palate: This one has a pretty soft carbonation, with a smooth mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is not an amazing example of the style, but a pretty solid beer none-the-less.
