Ok. Pours murky brown with big initial head but no lacing. Light barrel and some slightly sour malt. A little caramel syrup too, with some peat. Bottle from SAQ.

500ml bottle. Mahogany body, good tan head and lacing. Aroma is like a peaty Scotch mixed drink. Peaty, malty, slightly boozy taste. Warming body and fullness despite (relatively) low ABV. A sipping beer.

Mahogany pour with a frothy white head. Astrigent malt aroma. Malt, spice flavour. Bitter texture. Settles to a smooth toffee sweetness. Unpleasant finish.

500ml bottle into an English pint. Pours a deep reddish-brown with a fluffy tan head and some lacing. Caramel nose with a hint of dried fruit. Kind of sticky on the palate, but with a little bit of carbonation on the tongue. Warming.

mathieuc (1393) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2013
Pours a dark (clear) brown with a quickly dissipating head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is of dark fruits, mostly raisins with a slight green apple afterthought. Not really smoky, but maybe slightly peaty. Taste is sweet but less than expected with again some raisins and caramelized sugar. Carbonation level is medium, body a bit light (but that’s just me). Not bad, not great, A good effort by B.Ill.

Very deep red/mahogany pour with an average tan head. Deeply malty nose with stewed fruit, nuts and brown sugar. A little muted on the palate and overly warm for only 6.8%ABV.
