Bottle - 750ml. Hazy amber body with average carbonation and an instantly fading off-white creamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with cherry and raspberry hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Taste is slightly dominated by fruity flavors. It carries malty, hoppy, and some woody notes. Ends with a good sour/plummy finish. Interesting.

(Rating #4326)

March 9, 2012 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. My 750ml swing-top bottle. Slightly hazy and bubbly amber with an average creamy/fizzy beige head. Smells weirdly like a grassy mean - booze and (pasteurized) honey, a little sour. Taste follows, but more sourness - a little like a Flemish sour, but more honey, not much vinegar, still a fair bit of alcohol. Not much carbonation, a little sugary and slick, a bit of dry acidic grassiness in the finish, a sugary residue left on the palate. Odd.

[4316-20120309] 750mL bottle. Slightly honeyed burnt malt aroma. Clear, golden amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Tangy sweet malt flavour has something like a mild mead going on. Medium body. Tangy and interesting but not my favourite style. (6/3+/6/3/13) 3.1

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear, orange amber with a resilient, beige head. Smells like fruits (mostly apple) and alcohol. Tastes like white wine and green apples, maybe also sour grapes. Finish is mostly acid, with a bit of alcohol in the aftertaste. Body is medium and sticky. Good carbonation. Excellent beer, was great before a meal. A tad bit on the expensive side, though...

750 ml swing top bottle purchased at Peluso (Montreal) on December 15, 2011. Golden red, medium head. Spicy aroma of grapes and sweet notes of Cereal. Taste of grapes and other berries dry légèment sour aftertaste of dry grass. Not bad for a socal malt liquer, just over price!

Bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o HogTownHarry. March 9. Pours a slightly hazy orange-ruby with a small frothy diminishing off-white head. Aroma of fruit, caramel malt, light alcohol and lots of honey -- kind of reminds me of a Malt Liquor meets a Mead. Flavour of malt and honey with some alcohol and a slight sourness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied. An interesting beer, I didn’t love it but it’s O.K.

Dark amber colored beer with hardly any carbonation or head. Sourish fruity flavor and taste. The tartness is mild but dominant. In the background some fruitiness and candy.
