COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full-bodied and proud! This amber-hued lager may be an Octoberfest-style beer, but it is available to be enjoyed year round. A strong, robust micro-brewed lager, using imported 2- row Pale malt and 2 distinct Munich specialty malts, Sin City Amber balances its full-bodied, malt character with imported German Hallertauer hops.

Paid 8 dollars for a pint of this out of a plastic cup in McCarran Airport. Shit.... at least it’s a Nevada tick. Clear ruby amber, thin to no head. Aroma of caramel and apple. Taste is sweet fruit and bread. Plain but not bad. The guy next to me was about 70 years old and started telling me about growing a bunch of pot plants in Cali. I had not even said a word about any of that, but he sure wanted to talk about it.

On tap at Sin City, Planet Hollywood. Comes light amber with a small white head. Mild aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is malt with a bit of hops. A bit sweet. Just OK.

Plastic cup. I was not impressed with any Sin City beers. Just not good. Orange amber color. Some head. Taste was bitter but not in a good hops kind of way. Aroma was light, watery, not appealing.

On tap - Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Pours a clear, deeper amber colored body with a ruby tint to it. Finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a bit bready and grainy with some lightly toasted cereal grains. Somewhat nutty with a light fruit as well. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened cereal grains, a touch of bready toffee, and a few nuts up front. Light fruit and a hint of toast comes out a bit more towards the end as this finishes clean and smooth with a very light bitterness. Short aftertaste following a light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty forgettable beer. Not terrible, just unremarkable.

Miracle Mile full flight tasting. Orange bronze. Can’t find aroma. Again no head. Kind of oversweet. Soft palate is nice. Pretty sticky on finish...like tongue is sugar coated. Weird for lager, no kill. Maltstorm, almost malt liquor-esque.

Date: August 6, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: Burger Bar, Las Vegas, NV Appearance: Translucent amber with basically no head. Aroma: Grainy and caramel. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, thin bodied, very carbonated. Other: In vegas, so had to try a Nevada beer, wish it had been a little better than this, very average.

On tap at the Mile of Shops in Vegas. For some reason, I thought it would be an ale. Turned out to be way overdone on cereal malt. I actually found it hard to finish. Not too impressed.

On draught at the Las Vegas Sports Lounge at the airport. The beer pours a clear dark ambe color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of sweet caramel malt and grain, along with touches of druit and hops. The finish is sweet and malty at first and leaves a short light hoppy aftertaste. Average overall.

Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. A slight toasted and bready aroma with some cereal grains. Nice mouthfeel but this is rather simplistic offering slight flavors of toasted bread and cereal grains.
