What’s Las Vegas without a little vice? Our traditional German Hefeweizen, Sin City Weisse, is an unfiltered, straw-colored wheat beer with a low hop profile that features a distinct clove aroma and citrus undertones. Originally a summer brew at 4.5% alcohol by volume, it’s a perfect fit for our Las Vegas climate.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a hazy orangish gold with a frothy & spotty white head. Aroma of banana, cloves, fruity esthers and some yeast. Taste is fruity esthers, banana, spices and cloves. Overall it’s a nice blend of flavors and a really well done and smooth hefe.

Hazy blond beer. It has a light spicy aroma; the flavor is also a bit spicy. Average Weisse, weak.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Las Vegas, NV). Pours a well hazed golden yellow hue. Some darkness in the body, a touch of orange, richer haze and cakey bright white head that laces well and sticks around. Aromas are banana and clove, intertwined well with doughy bread, flaked wheat, a bit of lemon. Gentle spice, yeasty elements linger. Not bad. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied preaching some firm fruity esters, lemon and banana mix liberally, richer fruit and gentle doughy sweetness. Dry flaked wheat, cool vanilla, bit of apple, banana, and dough. Lemons, gentle spice, cool sweetness in the middle. Backend offers a touch of tartness, gentle yeast, spice, dry flaked wheat and bready malts, dough, fruit. Richer fruit esters up front. Fairly balanced as we move into the backend. Well put together style representative for a Vegas brewpub.

On tap at the bar in the Venetian, Las Vegas. Hazy gold beer. Typical wheat beer flavours but not sweet at all. Bubblegum. Mildly soft palate. Okay.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Tap @ Sin City Flamingo, Las Vegas 19/04/12. Pours a gorgeous, deep orange - hazy of course - with a large - and by large I mean huge - white head. Aroma is strongly of fresh, sweet - but not cloyingly so - bananas. The kind that are just right, not green, but not black yet. Just perfectly so. No greenness whatsoever in the aroma. Taste is sweet. Wheat, cloves, banana - the usual suspects. The banana is fresh, but not so good as on the aroma. Gets rather tiresome after two thirds of a pint, unless you really like weizens. Palate is quite carbonated, slightly watery. Not so drinkable and is quite unbalanced. Not sure if the fact that the keg was tapped wrong had something to do with the poor palate. The bartender mentioned that some new guy had tapped it with too much pressure and there was a whole bunch of foam as well as difficulty to get any actual beer out.
