Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Cloudy amber with a small white head. Fruity and cranberry aroma with acetone and a faint vinegar note. Dry, tart and funky flavour with cranberries and a touch of popcorn. One could hope it’s too young, but I’m not entirely sure it will improve.

Pours a cloudy amber color with an off-white head. The nose definitely has some cranberry to it and a nice tartness. A bit of sweet malt and oak, mild vanilla and vinegar as well. The flavor is strangely salty. A bit of vanilla, lots of cranberry, some oak, mild tannins, and a hint of funk. Kind of interesting.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours light hazy, red-brown with a light, creamy head. Mellow tart berry nose, hints of bitter cranberries. Light sweet flavor, strong sourness, light vinegar, bread, subtle berry character, salt. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Crisp, biting sour finish, moderate fruity sugars, acidic burn. Nice.
