Panimomestarit Tapio Kangas-Heiska ja Garrett Oliver loivat maukkaan oluen. Sinebrychoff ja Brooklyn Brewery tarjoavat paahteisen portterin, jota ryydittää newyorkilainen vaahterasiirappi ja suomalainen kuusenkerkkä. Maista ja nauti.

330ml bottle gotten as a free sample from work, black colour, medium somewhat creamy brown head. Roasty aroma of chocolate and dark bread with notes of maple syrup and herbs and possibly spruce. Taste is fairly balanced, sweeter than their normal porter, full body, bitter finish with a hint of sweetness. Very tasty, would’ve surpassed their original porter if it was more bitter and sprucey.

Bottle. Very dark brown - almost black, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, light roasted malt and light licorice, faint herbal hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light roasted malt and light hoppyness Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light roasted malt, light coffee, light - some herbal hoppyness. Sweeter and watered-down version of the original. Do not get any spruce sprout here.

Cheers to the Finnish guy who shared this at Borefts, 28/09/13. Mid black with no head. Nose is on the thin side, dark malts, earthy, dark toffee, cardboard. Taste doesn’t pick up either, light cocoa, dark malts, light roast, earthy, toffee. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Sub par offering, presumed this was a porter - surprised to see listed as SHV !?!

Bottled shared at Borefts 2013 by some guys from Finland - thanks! Black with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, spruce, liquorice. Medium bodied, bittersweet on the palate with a slightly astringent aftertaste. Taste is roasted grains, dark fruits, coffee. A little disappointing, would like the spruce & maple to be more prominent.

Bottle thanks to Jan! Pours black with a dark wooden brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a strong note of dry roasted malts with a bit of dark grains and spruce. Flavor has a combination of spruce and dry roasted malts with dark grains and maple coming out in the finish.
