1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Can 5o cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a clear golden with a rough and lacing white head. There’s actually a little nice aroma hop in the nose. Medium body, carbonation is a little low, skunky unclean and sweet grain flavours. Some cardboard. Really flawed. Rather crude bitterness. 230511

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pint can (BB 03/2011)
Deep golden color, small white head, some lace. Grassy, harsh, a bit ryeish hoppy aroma with sweet malty and rubbery hints. Flavor is similar. Light to average palate has harsh, grassy hoppyness. Also some sweet malty notes. Otherwise quite watery overall. Unbalanced bulk lager with a fancy name.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a rich gold, with a slightly scummy head. Scary - this actually
smells like beer - it’s a dry peppery, slightly undergrowthy, noble hop
bitterness. As expected, it’s a bit fizzy and watery, but hey, it’s a
lager and that’s what it was designed to be. Not just a lager, this is
a proper pilsener style. Even to the tangy hoppy retronasals. Taste a
bit disappointing - there’s the full malt there and the gentle bite of
slightly metallic hops, but it’s all just so Finnish - it can’t lose
that Koff macro fingerprint. However, if it teaches Finns to look for
a little more flavour in their beer, then that’s a good thing.
