Grima (1891) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle from a market in Helsinki.
Pours pale yellow with tiny head. Smells malty-muffy, sourish. Starts malty and grainy, slight musty and watery. Middle part is slight better, more sweet maltiness with some corn flavor. Finish is weak malty and grainy sweet.

33cl bottle. Faint aroma of cardboard and stale sawdust. Pale golden, clear with frothy head that is gone in 30 seconds. Faint taste of diluted lager. Not much to describe. Light: body, extremely thin texture, average carbonation, nonexistent finish. This is a low alcoholic beer, and its purpose is not to compete with Westvleteren 12, but to minimize thirst when you can’t really consume alcohol, and do not want to drink water/pop/tee. When I am in Finland, I always get a bottle or two.

330 ml bottle. Pours clear light golden with minimal white head. Really skunky aroma of sweet malt and grain. Skunky weak flavour of grain and metallic notes. Thin bodied, watery mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Dry grainy finish. Boring, not refreshing and horribly skunky. A slight disappointment.

33 cl bottle @ Tammelan Tori. Rated on 01.06.2011
Very light aroma with some grainy malt, corn and cardboard. Flavour has grainy malt, corn, hay and some cardboard. Light palate. Light lager with light (or actually nonexistent) taste. Worked ok with my fish burger on a summer day though.

lusikka (4124) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 21, 2011
330 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour with a very small head. Aroma of metals and grainy malts. Flavour of metals, grainy malts, hay and mild hops. Light bodied with a thin mouthfeel and a metallic grainy finish. Metallic notes ruin this. Wouldn’t even work as a sauna beer.

Watery and dull beer. A bit metallic taste. Maybe the worst low alcohol beer I´ve ever tasted.

Marko (3635) - Split, CROATIA - APR 11, 2010
Bottle from some Siwa store, for obvious reasons the cheapest beer in the store, one of rare few beers under 1€. Poured a shiny dull golden body with a small white head that stayed for awhile. Not much nose. Salty unfermented wort in the taste, water, carbonation bite. Blah.

esox (863) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 5, 2010
Pale golden, clear. Vanishing white head. Very mild aroma: some grains and sweeter corn-like malts. A hint of honey of fruits. Harsh and papery finish. Mild, sweetish aroma but no real maltiness. Bitterness is barely imaginable. Extremely watery palate with fizzy carbonation.

33cl bottle. Pale golden with a quite foamy white head. Hint of malt in aroma , flavor is mostly malt and bit metallic. Lively carbonation. No aftertaste to mention.
