3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle. Smells like campfire smoke, toasted sugar, dried fruit. Appearance is dark brown with a tan head. Taste is roasted nuts and molasses, anise, prunes, hint of licorice and bitter coffee. Very drinkable for a baltic porter with so much flavor. Medium bodied, smooth. Overall, itís a traditional Baltic porter thatís well balanced and may set the benchmark for the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle. Very dark brown colour, moderate cafe aux lait head. Looks like an Imperial stout. Chocolate, dark fruit and bread aromas. Tastes and feels a bit lighter than the looks would imply. Taste is bitter chocolate, coffee and earthiness, fruit isnít as much present as it was in the smell. Overall, very satisfying.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 24, 2013 Cola black beer with small mocha head. Dark bread, tobacco ash and roasted coffee in the aroma. Sweetness and off notes of cooked vegetables in the flavor. This isn?t right. I?ve had this many times before and this tastes bad. I must rate another one later.
Edit: Trying another one. Clearly better!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: dark, yet mild smelling roasty aroma, mild chocolate, hint of soy sauce
Flavor: Chocolate and light savoury soy notes.
Comment: On the nose there is a roasted aroma that is not distinctly coffee, chocolate or licorice.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Eulogy. Oily black pour with a thick small bubble brown head. Thick and silky. Dark smoke on the nose. Chocolate. Coffee. Cinnamon. Cherry pits. Cigarettes. Charcoal. Nice thick body. Just enough smokiness in the mix to nicely balance things out.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The pour is motor oil thick oil with an awesome mocha head that quickly fades but leaves significant lacing. The aroma is a happy medium between malt and roast. The taste is primarily malt throughout until the bitter finish which really adds character to this beer! This is good stuff! Exceeded my expectations!!
