COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A premium lager beer brewed from the finest ingredients, Singha is a full-bodied 100% barley malt beer that is distinctively rich in taste with strong hop characters. Editor's Note: Recipe scaled down from 6% to 5% in 2007.

Bottle. Pours yellow with thin fast dissipating white head. Pleasant aroma of hay and malt. Thin flavour, thin body, watery finish, weak hop character. Dissapointing after the aroma.

A little better than Chang, but that’s like saying Mussolini was a little better than Hitler. At least the foul aftertaste takes four or five sips to kick in on this one. I decided it was better to put up with the intense spiciness of my curry than ruin the overall experience with an unrefreshing sip of Singha.

Pale golden, big ugly head. Smells of malts and nothing more. Taste is light malty but still very sweet, not pleasent. Not much bitterness in finish eighter. Guess this beer is best enjoyed in Thailand with 100% moisture in the air

Bottle at Splash! Thai Restaurant in Saint John, NB. Pale clear yellow colour, one finger of stark white head that disappears quickly. Taste is sweet and sour with a little bitterness at the end. Body is a little light, a little too carbonated, but well within the style. Overall, went well with spicy food, taste was surprisingly complex.

Bottle. A clear golden yellow colour with a medium white head. An aroma of malt, fruit and corn. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter in the end. A light body and carbonation.

Aroma of pilsner malts and dough. Pours light blonde with a medium head. Tastes less than it smells. Not very exciting.

PASTEURIZED and 6.0%(not 5.0%) so this lager travels well to hot/warm markets. nice german style helles, a bit harsh but hey we dont have many choices of stronger lagers here in Texas that are pasteurized. This is a better go to beer than Kirin Ichiban, San Miguel Pale, Fosters, and euro swill like Heineken, St. Pauli, Harp, etc. When I reach to the east in the summer for a pale lager I usually go here, as Steinlager(NZ) has lost its hop bite. Prost when its hot outside, would rather have Carlsberg Elephant but it seems to come and go!

Rating #596, bottle found in my parents’ basement

I didn’t check out the date, but this was the 6,0% ABV version so it has probably been stored for some years, and this might very well be the reason for the high score I gave it as well

A light amber coloured beer, no head. Aroma has malt sweetness, caramel, nuts and a bit alcohol. Flavor is quite complex for a pilsener and especially for a pale lager. Malts, caramel, yeast, some fruits I am not able to define, walnuts and storage taste like some barrel or something like that. Medium bitter finish with a light touch of alcohol. Thick and soft palate. This is probably the best pale I’ve had.
