A premium lager beer brewed from the finest ingredients, Singha is a full-bodied 100% barley malt beer that is distinctively rich in taste with strong hop characters. Brewed with three hops: Saaz, Perle and Hallertau. Editor’s Note: Recipe scaled down from 6% to 5% in 2007.

Poured from the bottle, a very pale yellow, lots of carbonation evident and a medium full head. Aroma is strong of bittering hops. Flavour is reminiscent of dish water and is very very sharp in the mouth.

330ml bottle. Pale gold, no head. Malt nose and alcohol gives it a slightly sweet aroma balanced by a dry finish. Over carbonated, hnts of butter. Not the worst commercial lager in the world

Why do all Asain lagers have crappy heads? Ever heard of Dextrin malt or Torrified wheat? O.K. malt aroma, almost like a Helles. Some malty flavor with appreciable bitterness and a hint of hops. Decent body. One of the better Asain lagers I’ve had.

Aroma is minimal with some grassyness. Taste is even more minimal, seems very watery for a 6% beer. cant find much to say about this appart from a dry finish.

A watered down version of Tiger Beer I think. Bottled nicely and pours a nice golden pale color a thin head. A malty finish with a slight bitter aftertaste. Nice when served ice cold and with Asian food such as spring rolls!

63 cl bottle, bbe Aug 06. Clear, golden colour, weak pearling, short lasting white head. Hoppy aroma with a background of slightly burnt rubber, nuts and old butter. Rough, bitter taste without much complexity; just some fruitiness behind; sharp and bitter, almost peppery, aftertaste, with a powdery touch on the tongue. So-so body, some carbonation.

A below average thai beer. There are excellent beers in Asia (especially in Japan), but this one isn’t great. Very oily texture and a heavy body with limited carbonation, very watery and absolutely no head. Flavour is quite sweet with almost no aftertaste. If you really had to drink it, have it next to fried shrimps.

It sat in the glass looking like a urine specimen. Pale yello with no head. Weak and watery body. The flavor was non-dimensional watery macro-brew dross. Thai food is intense, flavorful, spicy, complex. This beer couldn’t hold its own with a slice of Wonder Bread.

Bottle (with curry). Golden coloured, short lived head, no lacing, slightly malty aroma and taste, with bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bought this one in a Chinese supermarket. Very light yellow coloured, dying head. Malty aroma, some citrus and grain perhaps. Flavour is watery with some bitterness. Not great, but i’ve had far worse.
