A premium lager beer brewed from the finest ingredients, Singha is a full-bodied 100% barley malt beer that is distinctively rich in taste with strong hop characters. Brewed with three hops: Saaz, Perle and Hallertau. Editorís Note: Recipe scaled down from 6% to 5% in 2007.

Iím puzzled by the low scores on this beer. For a lager - itís pretty good. light golden color, clean crisp taste with no aftertaste. 6% acl. thumbs up. Iíd drink this over bud any day - maybe not Stella Artois thought- I was drunk when I wrote that

Had this one at the local pool hall (of all places), and went down a treat. Great Flavour, and made me wanna buy more. Is also very good to have with food, especially asian food.

Bottle. Boring blond body with good carbonation and a thin white frothy head. Malty aroma with bad corny and sweet notes. Tastes a bit like cheap malt liquor or strong lager and leaves a metallic aftertaste. To avoid, unless this is the only way for you to add Thailand to your beer list.

Bottle. This was my first Thai beer, and itís no wonder theyíre not as popular as German brews! Far too light and flavourless. Poured a light yellow, with a foamy head. Taste was metallic and bland. Did not leave a plasant aftertaste. Might have been better slightly chilled. Generally I take my beers room temperature or very slightly chilled.

Singha pours to a beautiful, bright, golden color, with a nice, firm, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is slightly malty, with some nice, subtle, grassy hop aromatics. The palate is crisp, clean, with a slight sweet malt character. The body on this beer is lean, making it very drinkable. Singha finishes with a touch more malt up front, then ends with a short, snappy, bitter hop bite. This is a very drinkable lager, that is clean and balanced with just enough flavor to please. I remember this beer having more character years ago, but Singha still has enough that I enjoy it from time to time. This beer of course goes great with Thai food, its slight bitterness and drinkability makes a great foil for the hot and spicy curries and chiles, so famous in Thai cuisine. This is really a great beach or hot weather beer.

Poured pale gold, nice head, but short-lived. Aromas of peppry grapefruity hops, alcohol, bread, and grain. Favor is well balanced with nice malt and hop flavors and a frest citrus sweetness. Like a full flavored strong macro. Better than macros, but no distinguishing characteristics. Speaks to being balanced -- not malty enough for malt lovers, not bitter enough for hopheads but good as drinkable lager.

Corn. Slight malt liquor like taste. Stale crackers. Yet, refreshing. Not too much forced carbonation. Iíve had worse.

Hardly any head; whatís there is white. Light golden body. Hardly any aroma; faint traces of sweetness only. Sweet, light malty taste with nicely dry aftertaste. Some fruitiness and spice. Light, refreshing. Typical, industrial south-east Asian industrial lager.

Bottled. Light yellow with white head. The aroma has a metallic scent in combination with malt. The flavour is maltish and somewhat watery. Ithas a swetness and you can taste the hops and rice (?).
