COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A premium lager beer brewed from the finest ingredients, Singha is a full-bodied 100% barley malt beer that is distinctively rich in taste with strong hop characters. Editor's Note: Recipe scaled down from 6% to 5% in 2007.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear pale amber color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. The aroma has such strong rice notes I refuse to believe this is all barley. Also some grassy notes. The taste is grainy malts, caramel, green banana, grass. Thin. Fairly decent.

Bottle from Royal Thai Orchid with Red Curry Chicken, Special Fried Rice, a noodle dish I can’t recall, and some awesome spicy soup. Had from bottle, poured into "official" Singha mug. Drank, had second from bottle. There’s really not much to say, it’s a pretty boring, bland beer, with just a bit of taste too it and not much aroma at all. It’s crisp and drinkable and pairs well with the spiciness of the Thai food I enjoyed it with. Nothing remarkable, but very enjoyable.

Bottle- Pale straw in colour, grassy notes and hints of green apple. A good match for spicy asian dishes. A pleasing drink on it’s own, but nothing special.

What can you expect from a Thai beer. Boring, easily drinkable without any character. Slight aftertaste of hops, that’s all.

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin foamy white head. Aroma is grains and slightly metallic. Flavor is grainy and slightly sweet with some corn syrup. Quite decent carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. Not too bad for a pilsener.

Pours a typical golden yellow with a light to medium head. Slightly metallic aroma. Crisp, hoppy taste with a slightly fruity accent. Finishes dry. Worth a try.

Okay aroma of grains, on the sweeter side, decent head. Nice flavour, nothing exciting - fruitiness, okay finish. Decent.

0,33 l bottle. Golden color, good size white head. Nose is grassy with a malty presence. Flavor is equally malty, with nice balancing hops. Not that bad.
