2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl can 5.0% abv. Pale golden, medium head, no lacing. Aroma is slightly hoppy and sweet. Taste is dry and has alcohol, paper and some bitternes to bite your gums. Probably the best asian pale lager around and that does not say too much...

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a crystal clear straw colour, with a tiny head. Aroma has notes of cereal, caramel, floral, funk, and peppery. Tasting notes include very light malts such as toffee, bread, corn, very little in the way of hops, and a clean finish. This is a very "safe" beer that doesn’t push any boundaries.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle 33cl. Golden with a white head. A bit neutral typical pilsner aroma. Not spectacular, but ok. Rather short finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Probably not worth the money. Purs nicely into my official Singha glass, who knows where that came from. I can’t comment on the quality of the "100% barley malt," but it has more heft than BMC and certainly more balance. Nice crisp hoppy finish reminds me of a Helles. Very refreshing, and the 6% is dangerous. I’m usually about frou deep before I realize it.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle at the ’European market’ @ Kouter Ghent. The classic Thai import beer. A nice golden lager, with lovely hoppy aroma. But a rather plain finish.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale golden, plain aroma, taste is slightly hoppier than expected, no corn or rice water, feel a bit more real. Still fresh, good for Thailand and Thai food.

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle->chilled Singha glass: we were at a pretty authentic Thai restaurant, so I had to have this (again). The beer was served very cold (I’d say colder than your average brew) and into a pretty chilled glass, which I think helped this particular beer considerably. Pours an average head that is white with not very much lacing action; The beer itself is a light yellow with a hint of hops and yeast mixing up the flavor. I detected a vinegar-ish component to me which is fine, b/c I like vinegar. The finish is astringent, but short. All-in-all, it’s on OK beer to get when you think you want to be truly authentic, and if it’s served cold enough to numb the imperfections, then it should be a pretty good imbibe, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2007 Very light gold. Clear. Quick burst of flavor. Smooth with no aftertaste. The taste stays on the front of the tongue.
