Bottled. Yellow colour, quite highly carbonated. Doesn’t taste of much but makes a good accompaniment to thai food. Better than the crappy UK brewed lagers anyway.

50 cl bottle served in lager glass. Pours crystal-clear light golden; non-lasting foamy white head. Mild aromas of porridge and lemon pie. Fizzy, slightly sweet, strange acidity that reminds of artificial flavoring. No bitterness in the low-lingering finish.

Bottle from Auchan. Aroma: Honey, light lemon, spice, light diaceetyl. Appearance: Clear straw, medium-high head, quickly disappears. Taste: Watery, malty, bit spicy finish, no biterness, honey, light diacetyl, some esters. Palate: Low body, high carbonation, semi-sweet finish.

Bottle at a Thai restaurant. Pours a clear gold with a big white head that fades into a rim pretty quickly. Aroma of hay, light citrus fruits (lemon, lime), and pretty boozy. Taste is straight forward: dry, light bitterness. Thin medium body, fizzy carbonation, short bitter finish with hints of alcohol.
I thought this was brewed with adjuncts before I had a look. Pretty boozy for just 5% ABV - went straight into my head. I walked home with a headache after having had just one small bottle to accompany my curry. Besides that, it’s an okay lager in terms of aroma (nice but arbitrary) and taste (meh). But the mix of the thin body with alcohol heaviness killed it for me. Not palatable enough!

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a big head of fizzy white foam. The head has a moderate level of retention fading to leave tons of nice foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a grainy and slightly bready smell mixed with some aromas of hay. Along with these smells comes some light grassy smells and a bit of caramel. Taste- The taste begins with light bready taste mixed with a little bit of a caramel sweetness. The caramel sweetness grows stronger in nature as the taste advances with some light fruity tastes of apple and pear joining the taste as well. Upfront there is a little bit of a grassy and herbal which end up fading some as the taste advances, leaving one in the end with a clean bready taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average to thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather normal. For the lighter bready and mild hop flavors of the brew the feel is rather nice and makes for an easy sipping beer. Overall – OK and easy drinking for a pale lager, but nothing that is worth going out of your way for.

33cl bottle at Jasmin Thai restaurant Amsterdam. Nose is light malty. Body is clear pale, head is small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing, no lacing. Aroma is malty, green tea. Medium sweet. Finish is medium lasting malty medium sweet. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Easy boring basic lager.

Klarowne złote, z niewielką białą pianą. Delikatne aromaty słodu i trawy. W smaku raczej puste jak coś to tylko drożdże i znowu delikatna trawa.

A bottle from Jason’s, drunk at home. Aroma: mildly bready. Appearance: clear amber, minimal white head. Palate: quite lively carbonation, light and rather thin. Saaz hops add astringency at the finish. Taste: lightly bitter. Notable amongst South-east Asian macros, the notable bitter bite betrays the German origins of the brewery. Great with a Thai curry at our favourite local Thai restaurant, behind the market in Gong Guan. I wonder why they reduced the alcoholic content?

When I stayed in Thailand, I drank this beer at some oportunities. In my opinion, it is a decent lager for a macrobrewery. In my opinion, it is a better product than the chang beer. The body is yellow and gold, average carbonation, thin and white foam. The taste is malty, some hop, a bit watery but overall well-balanced.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with some white head. Aroma has light malt with some grassy hops. Taste is light malty, hints of straw and has some hops as well. Ordinary asian, less sweet and with hints of hops.
