@ Singlecut. Pours clear golden with half-finger white head. Aroma is biscuity and grassy. Taste is slightly sweet, a bit bready, with more grassiness. The sweetness here is a bit more than I’d like in a pils. Average palate and finishes grassy. Lingers a fair bit. Not too bad.

Little takeaway pint jar from Beer Street in Brooklyn. Great store, by the way. Looks like a lager. Medium clear gold with a modest white head. Nose of grain, paper, some lightly lemony notes, German hops and yeast. Not a bad lager.

On tap at the brewery. Not sure about this one. Lemony, diacytyl, grass, maybe a bit musty. Maybe over hopped for the style? I don’t know. This one was just sitting a little left of the tasty line for me.

This beer just absolutely stunk of diacetyl so it was rather difficult to assess anything else about it. It did have a brilliantly clear appearance but I am not really going to give a professional brewer much credit for brewing a clear lager.
I asked the bartender about other complaints and they had received many. Apparently, the brewery refused to take the beer back and said that it was not diacetyl and was a secret caramel ingredient they couldn’t say what it was. Not only is this beer not worth trying, you can’t even trust the brewery! No place in the beer industry.
