On tap at Augur’s Well, pours an opaque cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out tropical fruits upfront, with a little resin and piney quality. Flavour is dry and rather spicy in the hop department, with a great piney and resinous hop quality. Very dry finish, with little residual sweetness. A little too sweet but still well-done.

Draft at Bierstube. Hazy gold pour. Soapy off-white foam. No lace. Broad wet dank tropical hops. Forest floor. Guava. Mandarin. Pineapple. Cantaloupe. Tastes exactly like a canned fruit salad mixed with pine needles but still not so bad!

500 ml bottle courtesy of MK. Pours a very murky dull brownish orange with moderate-sized off-white head. Aroma is big on pine with some citrus, caramel and a little tree fruit. Flavour is resiny pine, citric hops, caramel maltiness, and a little apple and white wine character. Nice.

Pours hazy gold with a medium white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is citrus, resin, floral and some caramel. Taste is crisp bitters with some light sweetness coming in on the finish. More full bodied then medium, good carbonation and a slick texture. Overall this was a solid IPA but not quite as juicy as expected.

Rich, hazy, cloudy peach and copper coloured body with a nice, six centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of dank hops, grapefruit, resin, pine, passionfruit, tropical fruits and a bit of malt to keep it balanced. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong tropical fruit and passionfruit flavours with a good deal of sweetness to blend very well with the strong hops and bitterness that goes with it to couple with the strong malt backbone and the dense alcohol finish. Aftertaste shows the tropical fruits the strongest, but ends with a very noticeable and pungent alcohol warmth at the tail end, all with a lot of body. Overall, a very nice Imperial IPA with a great tropical fruit flavour showing some bitterness from the hops, but coupled nicely for a good deal of sugars. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Eataly in New York, New York on 30-May-2016 for US$7,80 sampled on the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11/2001 to pay remembrance to New York, after having just run past the Pentagon Memorial and living two blocks from it, sampled at home here in Washington on 11-September-2016.

Pours a cloudy, gold color. This has nice head retention and some of the best lacing I’ve seen. It has an aroma of gardenia and tangerines. It tastes hoppy and finishes with a peppery bite. A solid offering here!

Tap at Lost Borough. Very cloudy golden orange with lace. Nose of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and oddly, a touch of vinegar. Sweet, thick grapefruit flavor, nice spicy finish. Just a bit syrupy. Good but the session was better.

Some citrus and some pine. Decent balance. Light booze here. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Light bitter finish. Tap at Rattle n Hum east.
