On tap at the brewery. Beautiful clear amber pour. Thatís about the only good thing. Aroma is roasted peanut skins and burnt peanut oil. Thereís a nice hop character hiding way in the back, but it tastes like something very bad happened to this beer. I canít imagine this is what they intended.

I rarely write actual reviews but I had to here. The beer looks nice but it tastes like burnt popcorn. Iím not a noob, I just donít write reviews much, but I had to in this case. Totally disgusting.

Location: Draft at The Growler, 4/10/13

Aroma: The nose has some citrus, herbal, and pine hops, caramel malts, and some toast as well
Appearance: This one has a dark red pour with a beige head, and fairly thick, heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose component-wise, it leans bitter without too much sweetness
Palate: The body of this one is medium and it has a decent mouthfeel, the finish is on the dry side
Overall Impression: I thought this was a perfectly acceptable hoppy red beer. It isnít a standout for the style, but it is pretty clear between this and the Half Stack (vs. the Lagrrr) that Singlecut, so far at least, does ales better than lagers.

Sammy (8774) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2013
Enjoyed on tap at Brouwerij Lane and another introduction to a new local brewery. Pacific Northwest hopped. A light reddish body, with a little head and lace. Big carbonation. Getting yeast and hops, also a little funky. Drinkable, not what I would expect from the style, still for me drinkable.

Draft from NYC Craft Beer Fest. Nice ruby color with a sweet, almost rocky candy residual sugar kick with notes of Franzia wine. Dusty mouthfeel was oddly pleasurable.

Growler. Pours deep amber with an off white head. Light sweet malts, a hint of toast, medium bitterness, and flowery and citric notes. Good, not great.

BrewBoxer (2063) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Draft at the growler NYC. Pours a deep amber brownish red color. Taste is a bit rye-ish. Not bad but nothing memorable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Slipstream (2042) - USA - FEB 17, 2013
Draft at The Bronx Ale House. Aroma of yeasty, freshly baked bread and lots of floral hops. Sheet lacing on the glass. It tastes of dark bread, yeast, and APA hops. A somewhat unusual combination that works out well.
