Deep red pour. Aroma was pretty grassy. Foamy head. Lots of lace with a full mouth. Taste is very malt forward. The bitterness was not overly prevelant. Not bad, but I think this could have benefited from a dry-hop or another hop addition in the boil.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2013 Draft at UES Pony with puzzl. Pours a deep amber brown with white lacing. Aroma is straight weed and dank herbal hop. Lots of nelson. Still, such a strange beer - sticky hops and sweet caramel malts.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A disappointing debut from this new local brewer with a great brand. It’s one of those sweet, overly bitter IPAs with no complexity, no hop aroma, no personality. Just bitter sugar water. Tons of chocolate, caramel. Blech.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark with a tan head. Aroma is hoppy, light sweet malts, pine, earth. Flavor is rusty, pine, earthy hops, sweet malts. Decent but missing something.

Pours a reddish brown with a faint off white lacing. An incredibly earthy nose that reminds me of low alpha hop pellets prior to boil. Grass, resin an dirt

Had this on New Year’s at Fulton Grand with Erica, Mark, Jen, and the couple whose names I forget. It was dim in the bar, as usual, but I remember the color being a dark amber. Earthy overall character with earthy hops and medium bitterniss. A light body. The word "mahogany" in the name makes me want to say there was a woody quality to it, but I know that’s just my imagination. I’ll have to sample again in order to "nail this one down" lolgetit???
