Dark amber color. Yeasty with esters of apples and pears. Spicy yet light. Not that great on the palate. The hop characteristic comes through. Not very cleverly brewed. Totally out of balance.

Noctilucus (97) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - JAN 17, 2013
Burgundy with a bit of brown and a nice thick beige head of fine foam; slightly hazy after adding the yeast. The nose is quite hoppy with warming alcohol and sugars The taste itself is pretty aggressive (though not excessive) due to the carbonation; mostly sharp hops, banana, not sweet in spite of the smell. There’s also a bit of roast in there and the slightest bit of alcohol but overall it’s quite refreshing, not to say lacking body. The aftertaste is maltier, still banana and quite bitter hoppy, almost grassy. Decent yet nothing too special.

erickok (2280) - Tours, FRANCE - AUG 25, 2012
Clear, brown body with light tan, big head. Very bready, of the cheap kind, with dades and caramel, but never very classy. Heavy carbonation, which masks the taste a bit. Medium sweet with a bit of bitter backup. Very standard Belgian stuff here. Not too flavourful, but underneath its not bad at all. Strange because I like the highly carbonated mouthfeel but at the same time it makes this taste so subdued. Made with knowledge, but also to conservative for me. (33cl bottle)
