From a bottle in Brussels, Belgium august 2011. Golden, clear, offwhite head. Bread, malt and "kaviar på tub" aromas. Taste fruity and malty.

Bottle. Golden beer, white head. Aroma from bacon chips and sugar. Yes, its true. Malty toffee flavor, some brown sugar, some spices.

Coppery straw color. Huge white head. Creamy. Plenty of lacing. Somewhat of a banana smell drowned out by a musty malt. Very earthy. Tastes a little like burnt sugar and caramel. A sweet and bitter mouthfeel. Mostly sweet though. Not bad.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-amber colour with a blond dense and tall foamy head. Yeasty, sweet malty and slightly citrus-fruity aroma with mouldy and spicy notes. Sweet and bitter flavour, medium bodied with a rather lame carbonation. Initially slightly sugary malty and fruity taste with a rising bitterness towards the finish, which is furthermore metallic and mildly spicy. Not the best Tripel out there. 17.VI.11

Pours a lovely, clear golden with a fine, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has clear red apples, some sweet malts, pineapple, light vinious and some wine gums. Medium carbonation, quite thin and watery - to my surprise. Flavour is mild, sweet, good malts, mild zesty. Fairly sugary sweet unfortunately. Much better aroma than taste.

Bottle @ home, was keen to open this one, thought it looked promising. Too bad I directly rated here. 2.85 weighted average, 6 in style. Doesn’t sound too promising. Well, let’s check ik out. Nice clear golden brown pour, large dense head. Aroma is fruity, some hop, some malt. Simple but nice. Flavour is... ouch, there the reason for the low rating, swampy malt, dirt, some spices, faint fruit and yeast. Yeah, this is indeed not very great, it’s gets a little better after a while, but I understand the low rating.

Dit was wederom een zwaar biertje voor de echte liefhebber. Helaas heeft deze ook nog een nasmaak van ijzer (zoals roestbruin grondwater ruikt). Ik vind dit echt geen lekker bier. Bah

Clear dark golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of doughy yeast and citrus. Flavor of doughy yeast and citrus with a bitter after-taste. The body is light while the carbonation is moderate.
