JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 14, 2006 Bright red to cyclamen colour; dense pinkish head leaving lace. Artificial sweet cherry, childrens’ sweets aroma, bit almondy or cherry stones, frangipane. Syrupy sweet taste, with a retronasal flavour of old, shriveled cherries. After some time, the marzipan-frangipane flavour dominates. Some syrupy slikcness; light to medium bodied with a slight, not entirely unpleasant titillating sensation. Way, way too sweet & artificial. Sten (227), Westerlo, Belgium Jul 30, 2005 A real bad aroma. It smells like soap and has a sweet and sour taste. I bought this bottle at a shop of the techno chain. I wasn’t expecting much of this beer but it turned out to be even worse. This fruit beer is made on a pilsner base. (Bottle 25cl) Papsoe (9663), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 14, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Red coloured beer with a pretty, full, pinkisk head that collapses rather fast though. A strange, indefinable scent. Not very sweet, actually more - and rather unusually - bitter. Unusual but not unpleasant. Don’t really know what the base beer is for this - neither Lambic nor Flemish sour. 080599 Mads Langtved (2246), København K, Denmark Mar 19, 2003 Watery and articial. Nor good. One of the worst fruit beers I've ever had. this beer has never seen anything close to "kriek"! Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Mar 18, 2003 A very bad Kriekenbier. It's sweet, watery and thin. Slightly artificial.
