3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7306) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 19, 2004
Amber-red, very hazy; fine, dense, peachy head. Nose with chalk, wood, faint fruity (not necessarily cherries). I definitely get some Brett aromas, lactic. Burnt taste, like caramelised (fruit)sauce. Some fruit notes - might be indifferently peach, Reine Claude, cherry or whatever. Again lactic notes, probably some lactic acid. Faint acid burn. Nothing disturbing. A bit adstringent all the same. Medium-bidied; highly carbonated. Lacitc- and fruitacids in tha aftertaste. Seems to wobble between a fruitbeer and a fruitlambic. Unfortunately, it has neither the complexity of a good fruitlambic, neither an overwhelming fruitcharacter. Can live with it.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2005 Bottled - GBBF 2005. A hazy pinky orange coloured beer with a sweet and sour cherry aroma. The taste has cherry fruits and is quite sweet and fizzy. There is a restarined fruity background and a moussey mouthfeel.

Bottle at GBBF
Bit odd this one. Although the aroma wasn’t that good, I did like the flavours and sour palate, but the finish just lacked something. Dark pinkish in colour, rubbery aroma, rubber and sour cherry fruit flavours. Not bad.

22nd March 2011 Bottle at Arends Nest. Slightly hazy burnt orange beer. Good off white head. Smells like tangerine and a drop of cherry. Light palate, semi crisp and semi dry. Mildly tart fruit - again tangerine and cherry. Frothy dry finish. A little over dry but refreshing.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Countbeer (2852) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2010
Bottle @ OD’10:
Off white foamy head disappears quick.
Color is orange brown to red-ish.
Smell malts, cherry’s, sweets, hints of yeast, hint of hops and hint of spices.
Taste is not too sweet, just a well added amount of cherry mixed with, malts, spices, hops and yeast.
This is something different than a kriek beer, taste is less sweet and more towards a bit sweeter (cherry) pilsner.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - AUG 18, 2005
Bottle (GBBF): Cloudy orange in colour. Subdued malty aroma with some fruity notes. Very fruity flavour, slightly tart too. Medium bodied, ok.

Bottle at GBBF, August 2005. Rather intriguing. Turbid pink grapefruit juice colour. Soft peachy aroma with some sharp notes and honey coming through. Restrained fruity aroma with some vinous sourness at the base. Peach, pomegranate, passion fruit. Something a bit on the tropical side. The mouthfeel is soft and acidic at the same time, reminiscent of some sort of diluted fruit cordial and is not entirely appealing. Pleasant enough drinking but doesn’t quite hit the spot. What on earth are the fruits in this?

Bottled. A hazy red-amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of berries, malt, and a bit of straw. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of red berries, malt, and some citrus and dusty hops, leading to a dry dusty finish.
