Quite grassy in smell as well as in taste. Slightly bitter and reasonably carbonated. Great and simple.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask @ Brauhaus Sion. Clear pale yellow with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is of honeyed cereals, grass, light spicy notes and light fruitiness. Taste is also of honeyed malts, grassy notes, a touch of alcohol (?) and light spiciness. Light body and a tad watery. Soft carbonation. Grassy finish. Not the most exciting Kölsch, but quite drinkable. Lack of body.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled in Koblenz, on the Rhine. Subtle fruit aroma. A a clear amber pour with no head or ring. The taste is malt forward with hints of fruit. Medium-light body and crisp carbonation. Smooth, yet dry mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyable with German food.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: Draft at Reichenbach Hall, 9/12/14
Aroma: It has a standard, fairly light, malty aroma, rather sweet, there’s not much else here
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear gold color with a small off-white colored head
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, malty, with a light bitter grassy hop taste as well
Palate: The body is fairly light, clean, finishes lightly dry, it doesn’t have the greatest feel, but okay
This is a fairly forgetable beer. It isn’t offensive or highly flawed or anything, just a light, clean, and fairly dull beer. I’ll file this away as fine in the mental vault, and probably only order it again if the choices are rather limited.
