From tap at the brewery. Golden with a nice and dense head. The aroma has slightly sour malty notes and some caramel. The flavour has notes of malt, caramel and hops that gives a slightly dry bitterness, starting out smoothly - growing fresher and more bitter.

Aug 15, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear bronze colour, small head. Caramelly butter aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Fairly sweet and a tad roasty with generous body. Fruity with menthe-like resiny bitterness. Dominated by caramel, but overall quite flavourful. A somewhat sluggish lager by the very high Franconian standards.

Jul 13, 2008 On tap at Brauerei Sippel, Baunach, Frankonia. Clouded gold with white head. Heavily carbonated beer, thin, cardboardy bitter with few redeeming characteristics. Really poor.
