Shared 11.2 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a darkest brown color with a bit of ruby highlighting, a light, bubbly layer of quickly diminishing, brownish tan head foam, and light spots of lacing. The nose was roasted & cocoa, with subtle woody & nutty hints. Light to medium bodied, with low carbonation, and a light silkiness to the mouthfeel, the taste added modest earthy & roasted bitterness, and a touch of sweetness. Tasty, but only a light dessert.

Pitch black, reddish bricky low head. Aroma of fresh espresso and prunes in chocolate. Unfolds with higher temperature, dont drink this too cold! Palate heavy, carbonation low. Taste complex : black soya sauce saltiness, south american cocoa jungle earthiness gives way to nice collection of dried forest fruit. Lots of cocoa nibs in finish. And something you can never tell what it is. Luxury brew.

(bottle - 330 ml) Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Light roasted malt and coffee aroma. Not much hint of the wood. Roasted coffee at the start with a quick shift to bitterness. Definite hints of cocoa nibs near the finish. Watery and thin finish.

Opaque black, medium brown head. Aroma: lots of cocoa, malty, some kind of sourness, lactose, coconut, wood; very complex. Body is medium, heavy sweetness, medium bitterness. In taste again lots of cocoa, lactose, it really reminds chocolate. Bit roasty finish.

Pitch black colour with coffee foam, average and creamy, fairly lasting brown head. Lot of dark malty aroma, like a brownie cake, "bounty" , little woody touch, background is the liquorice. Taste is amazing , roasty dark malty with cocoa, coconut notes, little sweet hints of smooth milk chocolate, soft and silky finish.

7.4%ABV. Stout. Poured out black. 40ºSRM. Nose has some nice smoky aromas with tobacco leaf richness, the clean aroma note of mesquite charcoal. Chocolate and coffee aromas are almost obligatory. Maybe a hint of the organic vegetal nature of peat. Prunes and stewed fruit, apples and pears at the end of the nose. Funky sourness suggestive of boiled raw cane sugar. Mouthfeel is somewhere between soapy and thinly syrupy. Palate has flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, yakitori, figs, honeyed dates, butterscotch and sticky date pudding breadth, Local tasting notes, char Siew burnt ends, bakkwa (which is a local grilled jerky) Finish is medium and actually surprisingly not annoying. Goes on Favorites List!

Smooth with rich chocolate and lactose sugar. Only a barely-there hop bitter bite on the finish. Neatly uncarbonated, which adds to the silkiness. A very good stout.
