2/21/15. Sampled during RBWG 2015. Thanks, Leighton! Black pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Great aroma, lots of coffee, bourbon, chocolate, fudgey, vanilla. Yum. Disappointing flavor, char, ash, coffee is leaning towards green pepper a bit, chocolate, bourbon. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours super black with a thin head. Molasses, rich brownie, chocolate, fresh coffee and cream, mild sweet bourbon, and lighter roasted malts. Just a touch too rich for my tastes, but still very good.

Very nice. Big roast and coffee here. Some chocolate and a hint of hoppy lime. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Well integrated barrel. Thick freaky consistency. Well balanced and equal to original if not better. Tap at Churchkey.

Black waxed bottle, courtesy of Leighton, pours with an inky black body that supports a thin dark tan head. The aroma offers up rich coffee goodness and dark roasted malts and then thick rich maltiness in the background. The taste is smooth, slick and rich and delivers a great blend of thick nectar like malts, some smooth sweet vanilla, dark roasted malts and vibrant sweetened oily espresso like coffee. This is smooth rich goodness where the barrel treatment I find tough to pick up.

Tasted at RBWG. Excellent huge imperial BA. Bourbon, coffee, chocolate, black licorice, oak, vanilla, nicely balanced and booze fairly well hidden. Very very good.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2015 Bottle shared with MF666. Pitch black with a medium sized diminishing dark brown head. Lots of bourbon, salty liquorice, tobacco, roasted malt, trækølle. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, warming alcohol, light tannins. Well rounded and enjoyable. Long finish with salty liquorice.
