This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg.

330ml bottle from BeerRitz. Clear orange amber colour, foamy white head and aroma of malt caramel, lemon citrus, hoppy, slight barnyard. Taste is initially malt caramel with tropical fruits, orangey hop which morphes into tart lemon, citrus rind and then becomes more lambic-like with a barnyard note. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry sour & warming finish. Interesting, refreshing, very drinkable.

Clear dark orange color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, sourness, lemon, lime. Not my thing, too much sourness and lime and things in there. Don’t like it.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a clear copper orange with small off white head. The aroma is strong lemon zest, lacto, oak. Medium mouthfeel with nice tart lemon, light hop, and tart finish. Good.

500ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of lemon and citrus, some weird malts and sweetness, pale and caramel malts, floral and lightly citrusy hops, and light spices. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best beer.

Bottle, from the HF bottle shop. Smells like hops that are kinda past prime. Taste ia sour lemon juice. But not like wild sour, lemon juice sour. Sour becomes stronger on the back end. Ok, but not great.

On tap at the Redchurch Brewery. Amber pour with a white head. Aromas of peach, pineapple lots of fruit in there. Citrus and apricot jam flavour. Quite dry. Quite a tasty number.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. I’m a big fan of limoncello so I was looking forward to this. The first time I bought this, I thought there was something wrong with it: sour vinegar almost masking the lemon. Now I’ve bought it again and it’s exactly the same so it must be just the way it is. Clear, headless apple juice colour. Aroma is bitter grapefruit and ginger, like many IPAs. But then there’s the vinegar. Limoncello is sweet; this has no sweetness at all and is difficult to drink. Disappointing.

Draft - Sweet caramel and lemon and grapefruit. Clear gold with a decent white head. Tart lemon and a nice sweet balance. Nicely done.

Shared by suurjuust, thanks! Pours dark golden-amber with off-white head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is citrus, lemon, honey, tropical fruits. Flavor is sour, lemon with hint of grapefruit. Finish is tart lemon. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: tastes reminds lemon juice. Not really complex or exciting, but drinkable.
